This self-initiative project allowed us to experiment and develop our own intuitive techniques to integrate photography and 3D CGI environments.
We intended to use rough textures and materials to achieve a contemporary and minimalist look and feel.

We produced 3D CGI sketch ideations. Products were then modeled and highlighted in a 3D CGI scene. Once the camera angle, display, textures, and lighting were satisfactory, we reproduced the same mood and vibe (in terms of lighting and vibrance) in our studio and took an HD photograph of the product. Subsequently, we outlined the product and integrated it into the 3D CGI scene. This methodology allowed us to produce images with a distinct edge and mood, which would have been extremely difficult or impossible to achieve with conventional set-design techniques.
