Hermann Koudou, best known as Saturn, is a French illustrator and graphic designer.
His compositions are iconographic sets which combine simple shapes with vivid colours, creating symbolic patterns, evoking a modern psychedelic esoterism.
Mixing abstraction with figuration, his approach lends itself just as well for pure illustration, screen printing or animation, or even carpet handcrafting.
Hermann describes his art as 'primitive', as his process of creating modern hieroglyphs is led by intuition.
