Run London, Draw London

For the 2026 London Marathon, Dan Woodger created a large-scale illustrated route map to raise funds for Oxfam GB.⁠ It was printed as a double-page spread in The Observer on marathon weekend.

Woodger brought together his two lifelong passions – running and drawing – for the project, filling the 26.2-mile scene with over 400 unique characters contributed by project donors during the weeks leading up to the marathon.

Dan Woodger? Look no further, we’ve found him! And he wasn’t easy to spot in the middle of this huge crowd. Dan’s talent is to blend different slices of life to form a whole. As if he was trying to tell us the whole world’s story in a single image. Very much inspired by the Simpsons’ graphic style and colorful like Dragibus®, Dan’s illustrations are an invitation to not grow up, and rather keep marvelling at all things.
